We are looking for a Independent Healthcare Providers (IHP) Business Development Manager to join our Sales Team.

Vanguard Healthcare Solutions is a fast-growing company. We are a UK-based, privately owned, international provider of infrastructure and clinical services supporting healthcare clients worldwide. Vanguard Healthcare Solutions was established in 1999.

Our purpose-designed and built mobile and modular facilities provide our clients with new or replacement healthcare spaces including operating theatres, endoscopy suites and sterilisation and diagnostic departments. As part of our solution to our clients we also support them with clinical teams and equipment for our facilities.

The Independent Healthcare Providers (IHP) Business Development Manager is a crucial role within the organisation, tasked with the responsibility for the development of the IHP segment from its position to day to meet and exceed the company’s expectations of growth over the next 3-5 years.

This role focuses on the health vertical known as the Independent Health Providers (IHP) and is primarily the private and joint venture organisations that reside within the UK and Ireland. They serve the health needs of the UK either by supporting the NHS; private pay provision of services and/or insurance related treatments/procedures.

The role is full-time, although we will consider part-time for the right candidate and will be hybrid or home-based with a requirement to attend Head Office in Gloucester as required.  Travel to various sites across the UK and Netherlands is also a requirement, so flexibility and the ability to periodically spend time away from home is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end sales development process
  • Identify and build sustainable pipeline which services the in-year revenue requirements but also provides pipeline visibility out over the next 3 years
  • Position Vanguard as the solution of choice within the IHP’s segment
  • Participate and own Vanguard’s membership to the IHPN (Independent Healthcare Providers Network) which will be instrumental to building networks and establishing trend and market drivers
  • Work with the sales leadership team to develop a clear win strategy that is the basis of the value proposition to the IHP segment
  • Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues to meet the client’s capacity or refurbishment demands
  • Orchestrate sales working with sales, business development and operational colleagues to ensure client demands are known, understood and met
  • Work closely with the Modular Commercial Director to prepare and review the commercial aspects of the value proposition and bids

Requirements

  • Proven ability in the development and sale of complex clinical solutions
  • Sales and business development credentials that demonstrate success and show the desire to win in new business development environments
  • Ability to provide valuable input into value proposition development, opportunity qualification, win strategy, commercial discussions, and solution delivery
  • Must be an excellent communicator and comfortable working at C Suite level both internally and with client groups
  • Working with third party partners and demonstrating understanding of how partners can support in a complex sale

Desireable

  • Background in private healthcare and / or construction
  • Miller Heiman Strategic Selling knowledge/training
